Conservative Treatment for Jaw, Face & Head Pain - without the need for Surgery, Botox or Medications
We understand lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit.
TMJ therapy is a conservative, non-invasive treatment approach to dealing with a variety of conditions associated with TMJ disorders. Unlike other treatment options, TMJ therapy does not involve surgery, botox injections or medication prescriptions.
Treatment will depend on your specific condition, goals and preferences. Treatment options may include soft tissue massage, gentle joint mobilisations, dry needling, home-based exercises and more.
No, not usually. Occasionally clients may experience some temporary soreness follow treatment, however this would normally settle shortly after.
There can be a range of factors that can contribute to the development of a TMJ disorder. Common ones may include trauma, chronic grinding or clenching, nervous system stress and much more.
The signs & symptoms of a TMJ disorder can be quite broad; however common presentations may include:
- Jaw, face & head pain
- Pain with eating or chewing
- Pain or reduced mobility with mouth opening
- Frequent headaches
- Grinding or clenching issues
- Ear pressure, fullness or tinnitus
Like with all therapeutic interventions, there is always a level of risk. However, compared to other treatment options, TMJ therapy carries little risk. Most side-effects, if any, are short-term and reversible.
While individual results may vary, we typically see change within several treatment sessions.
While we often do receive referrals from GPs, specialists, dentists and other health professionals, a referral is not neccesary to see a TMJ therapist.
Our initial appointment fees are $155, with our standard and extended follow up fees $95 and $120.
We recommend allowing 45-60 minutes for your initial appointment and 20-30 minutes for follow up appointments.
